FUTURE CHURCH - Learning Experiences

Picture
What is a Learning Experience?
Below on this page, we have listed each Learning experience that will be offered. Participants will sign up for a Learning Experience for the day.   After the main session, a participant will go to the learning module/track they have chosen and they will engage in the topic they have selected for the morning and afternoon sessions.

Example. Mary signs up to participate in Future Proofing Your Worship.  After the opening large Gathering, Mary would attend session 1 in the morning of Future Proofing Your Worship, and then after lunch, she would continue with Session 2 of the same topic.

We encourage churches to bring people who would benefit from participating in an in-depth learning experience to help them grow in their area of service.  You can select the Learning Experience you plan to attend during registration.

Future Proofing Your Worship

Servant leaders understand the great responsibility of choosing which songs their congregations sing; however, this responsibility can be overwhelming. Which songs to keep? Which new songs to add? And more importantly, why? Rev. Dr. Heidi Clark, worship educator, researcher, and church consultant, will provide an opportunity for a deeper examination of the relationship between biblical worship theology and the local church's song library.
Community Engagement Strategies
Picture
Let us be a light unto the world!  In our time together, we will discover ways to be an engaging church and share about creative caring ways to grow the churches presence in the community.   Time till be given to think about current effective models being used and a look at discovering new practical ways your church can be a loving light in the community.
Innovative Discipleship
Picture
Rev. Evan Duncan will explore innovative discipleship primarily through the lenses of collaborative, intergenerational leadership. Learn how “key-chain leadership” empowers young leaders, allows for all voices to be heard, and nurtures spiritual formation across your church. Discover practical ways to align people’s gifts with their callings while deepening your congregation’s discipleship and reflecting its true diversity.
Technology Uses and AI
Picture
Powerful, readily available AI models are rapidly changing knowledge work of all kinds, including ministry.  Dr. Christopher Wells, principal at Fluidmind AI Partners and worship team leader at First Baptist of Kennett Square, will provide a deep dive into what these models are and how they are being used (the good, the bad, and the ugly).  Please come prepared (with a laptop - preferable - or a smart phone) for some hands on instruction on how you can put them to work to enhance your ministry without replacing the minister.
